The Process: Lethal Mead Co.
It all begins with an idea.
Not only was I in charge of creating a logo for Lethal Mead Co. but they asked for my help in naming the company! After coming up with over 40 names, the client chose Lethal Mead Co. I then asked them what they envisioned their brand looking like. They let me know that while their main focus is making mead, down the line they would love to be able to produce other content under the same name. With this in mind, I knew any imagery I used wouldn’t involve any mugs, glasses, kegs, or even be’s. Not only would this limit the identity but those are commonly used in this industry. I also used Chat GPT to pull up words associated with “lethal"“, “mead”, and “tactical”. After the brainstorming session, I already had an idea in my head so I went straight to my computer.
Below is my first rendition of the logo.
The client loved it but also had a request to make. I completed their request and then decided to apply it to a few mockups. This allows the client to see what the design could actually look like on their products.
These were also approved by the client but I told them that I still wanted to work on it.
At this point, the client was happy with the logo and I began helping them with their socials. But I still felt like the bottle was not complete. I decided to bring this to the client and ask if there was anything they saw on their bottles. The client gave me a couple of ideas of things they would like added. So, I got to work again. The client informed me that they would like to have space on the bottle to write in information such as date brewed, batch number, and ABV. I worked on this for a while and sent it their way. They loved it.
This project was so fun to work on, and I am excited to continue working with the client in the future.
